Who we are

Play31 was founded in 2008 in New York, and the organization’s Danish arm section was added in 2010. In New York we have a board that includes UN Ambassadors, an assisting UN secretary general, and the bestselling author Ishmael Beah. In Denmark, we also have a board composed of dedicated people with experience in a range of fields. All board members work voluntarily.

In Sierra Leone we work closely with Fambul Tok, a local community-based organization, that focused on reconciliation. Our Manager Pel Koroma has many years of experience in working with human rights, reconciliation and journalism in Sierra Leone.
